we got to go to chicago this weekend and see family ... truly joyous.

immensely relieved to have the first 'go but not break bread together' time with family out of the way. incredibly painful (my stomach is still recovering, apparently i put all my stress there) but no confrontations or issues other than sadness. i was treated just the same by everyone as far as I noticed, which was a relief.
